Gaggia Cadorna Barista Plus Review

Hello fellow coffee drinkers, we are here today to talk about the Gaggia Cadorna Plus. Choosing the Cadorna Plus means you are picking a top of the line super automatic espresso machine that features six different drink options with the push of a button.

The Cadorna Barista Plus is a super automatic espresso machine that costs $1099 and features a full color tft display and a backlit button user interface. This machine is capable of making a variety of beverages including ristretto, espresso, espresso lungo, coffee, americano, and of course, hot water for all your teas etc.

The Cadorna Barista Plus features Ceramic Grinders, 5 Optiaroma selections, 10 adjustable grinder settings, 70 – 155mm adjustable coffee spouts, and a stainless steel cup plate. The machine supports 17 selectable languages as well. With all this adjustability, you should be able to make a great custom cup to fit whatever flavor profile you are looking for from your coffee beans.

Let’s get to the good stuff- the coffee! When talking about the cup of coffee, this machine offers
15 BARS of pump pressure. This machine also features pre-brewing, a ground coffee option, 3 levels of adjustable coffee temperature, adjustable coffee length, and of course, the Gaggia adapting system.

The machine has a 1.5L (~6.3 cups) water tank capacity and a 300g bean container. While you do have to manually refill each tank and container, there should be plenty of space for several cups of coffee per refill. The coffee puck container holds 10 “pucks” which are spent coffee grounds, which means you will need to empty the container after making 10 servings of coffee. You can also make 2 cups simultaneously from a single puck (or, for people like us, you can make a great double shot of espresso).

While some people get a little frustrated with how many pieces there are to clean (to be clear, the machine self cleans, but there is still maintenance), the overwhelming majority believe this machine is reliable and capable of making a consistently great cup of coffee. From the looks of the reviews, most people find this machine to meet and/or exceed their expectations in an automatic machine.
